A pleasant hour spent on Deal pier. A nice mix of gannets, divers, a curlew, kittiwake and plenty of great black backs

Lovely autumn morning yesterday at kearsney Abbey/Russel gardens Dover. Sat on a bench watching the black headed gulls, listening to the Robins & the calling goldcrests & long tailed tits.

This sparrowhawk was living up to its name after successfully catching a house sparrow in my garden this morning

6 chiff chaff, 3 blackcap yellowhammer, 6 song thrushes 6 Robins wren dunnock chaffinch great tit & a further 6 blackbirds a great morning of bird song.

Western heights Dover early morning, 4 chiffs, 3 blackcap, Jay, kestrel, chiming great tits, chaffinch, wren, dunnock, Robins all singing & calling. No whitethroat yet

This gull (on the left) has been hanging about Samphire hoe these last few days. It has yellowlegs. (Although in my crap phone photo it doesn't look like it) It is alot more leggy than the righthand bird.Any ideas?
