The only people who get punished when you cancel your Washington Post subscription are the employees, and they had nothing to do with the decision not to endorse a candidate.

Do you still use Amazon’s products and services? Cancel those instead and find better alternatives.

While I am very sympathetic to the “Get money out of politics!” crowd, I feel like there is an unanswered question around advertising being very expensive, especially at a national scale. Even state-level races can be pricey, depending on the size of the state and the media markets involved.
