When was the last time you truly felt your self? The self without the job title, the parent or sibling title, the self without a head full of worries and fears?
You find your self in moments of stillness.
The more you cut out all the noise from the outside, the more room you create for your self.

If you want to live a peaceful life, start being peaceful today. But be prepared that you will encounter your anger and hatred from the past for a while.

My entry point for meditation has always been thoughtlessness, breathing and sense perception.
Pick an everyday action.
Breathe, register what your senses deliver and try not to think while you perform the action. (How about while you hoover?)
Practice every day :)

After a while you might notice that you can feel something with a sense not yet known to you.
It might just be at the very edges of your consciousness, feel for it, remember it, play with it.

Once you start radiating a desire for learning in your meditations, it might happen that you wake up in the night and can’t fall back to sleep.
Just sit up, close your eyes, silence your thoughts and let it breathe you.
Be open to what happens during that meditation.

If thoughts come up in your meditation, don’t judge them. There is no good or bad, they are just thoughts.
Acknowledge the ones you don’t like and let them pass.
Feel the ones you like and the ones you like to have and linger in that feeling.
When you’re ready, let go.

Repeat the last exercise. When you have expanded as far as you can, rest in that state.
Radiate a longing for learning, a sense of exploration, a desire for knowledge.Become that desire and longing.
In the following days, feel inside yourself and be open-minded.

Go into meditation and focus on breathing. Feel the life force behind your breath, feel it in every cell. Imagine that force expanding outside your body, through walls, the sky, wide into space as far as you can, you in the centre. Rest in that state when you can’t expand further.

Sit down and focus on not-thinking. You manage three seconds of not having any thought, right? Get a feeling for that state and prolong it as much as you can. When you go into meditation, close your eyes, focus on breathing and remember that feeling. Feel it again and rest in it :)

Well, you do it all the time anyway. You hypnotise yourself with the stuff you consume online each day.
Why not implement beliefs that you like? The ones that make you happy? Rather than accepting the ones that make you worried?

Did you find a new belief you want to have in your life? Let’s implement it :)
Take 5-10 minutes a day focusing on the sentence you built. Speak it, whisper it, think it, whatever works best for you.
Do this until every word, every syllable, becomes meaningful for you.

You want some new beliefs in your life? Change old ones?
Start by thinking about a new belief you want to adopt. Word it in one simple sentence that feels good to you. Don’t use the words ‚no‘ or ‚not‘ or other negating words in it.
Take your time to find that sentence.

Everybody has a lot of beliefs. Some were adopted from your parents, others you developed yourself, others you pick up by constantly reading or hearing about them. Your beliefs determine big parts of your reality, they are like self-hypnosis. Wanna change some?

Having trouble finding out what your beliefs are? Wait til you get upset or happy about something next time.
Your emotions follow your beliefs, not vice versa.
When you get upset about a situation, chances are that something is touching one of your beliefs.

Let’s work a bit on beliefs. Do you know what your beliefs are? Your beliefs determine vastly what your reality is gonna be like. The narrower you choose your beliefs, the narrower your reality is gonna be.
Beliefs can be changed, though.

Remember a feeling when something good happened in your life, feel that feeling again. Close your eyes and go into meditation, search for gaps between thoughts & feel the thoughtlessness.
Mix in the other feeling and feel both for a while.
When you’re ready, open your eyes again.

Whether you do these exercises I‘m suggesting or not is entirely up to you. Nobody will judge you for your decision. Not in this life, not in the one after your death.

It takes time, effort and practice, over and over again.

Next exercise: a few times during the day, no matter where you are, hold still for a moment and perceive what your senses give you. Remember the feeling you have when your mind is not thinking.
Feel that feeling again.
After a few moments, let go again and continue with your life.
