Worryingly, anti-terror legislation is now being used in the UK to 'investigate' journalists who report on Gaza and Israel. What will happen in the US when Trump takes over is anyone's guess...

Undermining the key position of journalists within a society is the first step towards despotism.
We see it in Slovakia, Hungary, many places in Africa, we saw it in Hong Kong after the Chinese takeover, in Russia (of course). It's a tried and tested method of wannabe despots.

Do we know who these "rebels" are? On French radio they call them "jihadists"...

The Starmer era will remain turbulent, whatever he declares. It's the lack of vision, competence and morality that will perpetuate the chaos.

Generally, I wouldn't be overly optimistic about the integrity of people running this place.
