Also Elle. Probably petting a cat, Blendering, JavaScripting, or music-ing.
Late on the post, but I couldn't have asked for a better first-ever con than #PAX '25. Seeing the vibrance in the indie games space (esp. in Seattle) was invigorating and SO exciting. Looking forward to keeping up with everyone, including new friends from @seattleindies.bsky.social!

Latest #codepen project, my first contribution to April's #codepenchallenge: a legally-distinct rendition of my cat as a card in pure CSS. Full write up (and interactive example) at codepen.io/carvacodes/d....

His two strongest moves are definitely Scratch and Nom, and he's absolutely a card <3

New #codepen #webdev project of mine: a pure #CSS recreation of the Netscape Navigator "page-loading" animated icon. Several tricks used (abused?) to achieve this, including using individual radial-gradients for each star.

Always cool to get some love on the @codepen.io front page! This pen explored animated linear gradients on elements with a border-radius, and led me to an interesting quirk of CSS surrounding the border-image property. Full writeup available at the link! #css #webdev

Today's #code #project share: Particle Explosions in #javascript! Big learning experience simulating accurate(-ish) bouncing, gravity, depth, and reflections for a #3D space using only "2D code". Also my favorite way to test mobile phone processor power.

Need to start posting more #code to find all my fellow #JavaScript and #CSS nerds!

Here's a recent project of mine that got some love on #Codepen: the Triforce in the Sacred Realm from Ocarina of Time, using pure CSS for transforms and animations.

A CSS-only rendition of the Sacred Realm, as depicted in Ocarina of Time. This is actually a takeoff on a JS version of the same idea I explored some ...

It's too bad Steam can't document hours of a game played *plus* hours spent on your Library page locked in decision paralysis. Gotta be in the thousands at this point.
