It seems the real question is who should pay for the cost of postage. Should every taxpayers help pay for the postage of individuals or even junk mail or should that cost be the burden of the sender?

In full transparency my father retired from the postal service. I have heard about this issue since 2000. The inside baseball was too much cost and indifference from the management class. Regardless there has to be a better reason why FedEx can do it and USPS can not.

I am trying to develop an understanding of the issue. It seems that the cost of it was once covered by the postage but has been not for some time now. Somehow, it is not an issue for FedEx. What is the difference? Honest question

So employee health and retirement is the underlying issue? GM is an example of thos as a bad idea. Not funding it properly seems like a way to kick the can down the road. It's only responsible to fund it properly now. Am I ignorant on this issue? I want to learn but it seems like basic accounting.

Shouldn't the postage cover the costs though? No profit just no debt.

What is the answer to fix USPS?

In the parking lot again?

Sounds like you need corrective action

Yes, offensive. Hardworking people have their income taken to fund a different country while also running up debt to enslave future generations. The borrower is slave to the lender. Interest on this debt is now over 1 trillion a year.

Lesotho, formally the Kingdom of Lesotho, formerly known as Basutoland, is a landlocked country in Southern Africa. As an enclave of South Africa.

I have to be honest, I had never heard of it. The idea of American taxpayers are sending the millions is offensive.
