This is getting ridiculous how are we meant to juggle all these platforms? 😡

The Bear (2022): 10/10

A brutal, funny and endearing show that offers an unforgettable and emotionally mature glimpse into the world of professional kitchens. Top-notch acting, writing, directing, stunning cinematography and a genuinely great soundtrack.

TIPS FOR POSTING FOR THE NEWSKIE POSTERS ON BLUESKY:

The bones are the skeletons' money
In our world, bones equal dollars
That’s why they’re coming out tonight
To get their bones from you
The skeletons will pull your hair
- up, but not out
All they want is another chance at life...

4. Marathon

Marathon is an upcoming sci-fi PvP extraction shooter. Players will be able to compete for survival, riches, & renown in a world of evolving, persistent zones. As a long-time Bungie fan, I'm super excited for this.

3. Dune Awakening

An upcoming open world survival MMO set in the universe of Frank Herbert's Dune. Players will be able to explore the harsh desert planet of Arrakis, battle dangerous sandworms, & build their own empires. A bit iffy on this, but excited nonetheless.

2. Ashes of Creation

AoC offers a deep & complex gameplay system that will allow players to customize their characters & playstyles in a variety of ways. Build on Unreal 5, the game aims to be a mainstay in the MMO genre.

Personally most excited for this.

Silo (2023): 7.5/10

Silo is a solid dystopian story with intricate world-building, well written characters+motives, and thought-provoking themes. At times needs tighter pacing. Overall a lot of potential and based on an enjoyable book series.

Yellowjackets (2021): 7/10

Awesome blend of horror, drama, and suspense with a good dosing of jaw-dropping twists. Must-watch for thriller/horror fans. Admittedly lacking in season 2 compared to the fast-paced nature of season 1, but overall very enjoyable.

Succession (2018): 9/10

A funny yet narratively-gripping drama that never fails to entertain and surprise with its sharp writing, and nuanced characters. One of my favourite shows of the decade.

You (2018): 8/10

A genuinely exciting show with lots of twists and cliffhangers done really well, however, this leads to some pacing issues and the need to 'raise the bar' on previous twists to still be good. High stakes and fun characters overall.

Mad Men (2007): 9.5/10

Some of the best character development in TV, ever. A slower-paced drama, but great narrative and incredible acting make up for it. A bit rushed in season 7, but a beautiful enough ending.

The Menu (2022): 8/10

Genuinely incredible acting and dialogue, and a fun thrilling take on the topic(s) of obsession, consumer culture, and classism. A bit whacky at times, but it's nothing jarring.

The Island (2005): 6/10

The concept of the movie carries this singlehandedly. A thought-provoking concept ruined by some terrible directing choices. Fun rewatch, but not as good as I wished/thought it was.

Mayor of Kingstown (2021): 7/10

Great story and good characters with motivations, nice twists here and there, and in general solid narrative setups and payoff.
