NATO is not obsolete just because one member (even if US has been the most important member) is leaving.
It is still a force to reckon with. Much larger than Russia even without US.

Countries are not friends of countries but can share interests. They shift a little over time. Europe has been sleeping and not listening with its ear to the rail. Slept through the entire Biden period. Should have woken up during the previous term of Ump and acted.

It seems like there are many interesting (from an EU perspective) states in the US according to the vote in the last election that should be able to join the EU. Why not apply?

Carrots are not good at economics. Tariffs increase prices. Local business will not in short term fill the gap. Local production will be more expensive as that is the reason of import. Carrots are not good at economics.

That is good. Leave the business (aid) open for RuSSia and China (which is bad), and of course aid from European countries (which is better). Nevertheless, as a former worker in that field, USAID was a extremely good competitor, always landed extra/additional work for US.

My advice to anyone who drives this machine is to reduce the pressure so that the oscillations stabilize. There is an imminent risk that something serious will happen in the system if the pressure continues. (2/2)

To me, it looks like a disturbed pressurized system trying to find its way back to an equilibrium state. The fluctuations (top/bottom) become more pronounced over time since August/September, and the frequency also appears to increase over time. (1/2)

A shame that the world crawls for the dictatorship that has its boot heel on the neck of its population and gives birth to a few rich people who have been in the right place once. Damn mafia country. 2/2

Fascinating that a developing country like Russia (still with nuclear weapons) and a 20th of the EU's GDP (Russia has the same GDP as the Scandinavian countries together but with 7-8 times more population) brags that they are a great power. 1/x

I think RU should invade Hungary and Slovakia. They seem to be on the same wavelength. And yes, as invaded are not in the EU. Will be cheaper for the rest of the EU.
