Red-eared slider and a faerie. Colored pencil. The wings are modeled after a praying mantis - I think. Or maybe a cicada? Not sure - I did this a long time ago, memory is a bit fuzzy.

Legend has it that Herne was hung for poaching. The tree in the background was copied from an etching supposedly of tree where he was executed and the rope around his neck indicates the manner in which he died.
