Pulled my old 3DS from the closet today; haven't pulled this thing out in years! Was pleasantly surprised when I saw it was holding a charge, too! Microphone's probably still borked, but that's not an issue. It's still more fuel for the early 2000s game binge I've been on as of late!

Shoutouts to @highquality.rip on the RE:SPH ARG. The amount of care and effort that went into every branch, especially regarding the universal mechanics of the story, with their themes all coming together at the very end, is superb. This isn't even getting into the games and music spread throughout!

Back in September, my parents and I went on a trip back to Nova Scotia, having left the province 18 years ago. This Christmas, I decided to remake one of the pictures I took during our many car rides for my Mom. The look on her face made the effort absolutely worth it.

Even after the renovations, the plaque is still there. 🥲

Update: Gave up on trying to use IE8; enabling anything beyond TLS 1.0 on XP is like pulling teeth. Ended up installing the Mypal Browser instead, which worked instantly! Since it's based off Firefox 68, it's also not horribly out of date - in practice, this means minimal breakage of website styles!

Also, to add another adjective: Human.

While I rarely saw GenAI as I've tried my hand at building a music feed (this thread has been invaluable btw), I did notice how regular bot accounts can make the feed more noisy. Luckily, moderation lists can be used to easily remove these posts.

Something worth keeping in mind is how feeds are constructed, which is primarily done by filtering for keywords within posts. Different keywords can be prone to misnomer posts; for example, "composition" is also used by graphic artists. While specificity does help, unrelated posts can still slip in.

Haven't mentioned it here yet, but @plantboychi.bsky.social, @kvlmiv.bsky.social, and I have been working on a webcomic called COVALRIA for the last three years. Seven months ago, we started releasing shorts to offer a taste of what we've been cooking. Tomorrow, we start the main course.

Hey there, Leslie here! I'm a Canadian artist with a broad interest in creative mediums. Whether it's game design, music production, building websites, or something I accidentally stumble into, I enjoy exploring various fields and expanding what I can do! Hope to see you around!
