Frigid day, but I love snuggling by the fire with kitties and a good book. Today’s book is “Resist: How a Century of Young Black Activists Shaped America” by Rita Omokha. #reading

Happy Indigenous History Month! I’m going to read Fresh Banana Leaves: Healing Indigenous Landscapes Through Indigenous Science by Jessica Hernandez next. Which book by an indigenous writer are you going to read?

Your ancestors gathered around fires, weaving tales that shaped our world. Honor their legacy and embrace the timeless power of oral storytelling. 🔥✨

Audiobooks definitely count as reading (as well as listening). If you've played through an audioook, its perfectly fine to describe that as "I have read [x]"

All other forms of assistive software count as reading too 💙📚

Feels like I'm just posting to the void since I'm just getting started here, but why not. I write a weekly newsletter, and this week I write about how far away from reading and critical thinking we’ve come. It's lacking in our education, COVID learning loss, social media attention spans, all of it.
We need to get back to reading and critical thinking
