Certified woman here. I’d personally love it if the appliances they made actually worked. My GE brand washing machine made by Haier is failing after two years. Their ad should feature me taking a nap after washing my clothes by hand.

It won’t turn on and it makes this weird click noise, so it’s now unplugged and resting. Mentally preparing myself to spend another 1k on a new washing machine because of course it’s a POS.

Almost a month later…my washer still works and I guess is ok? I don’t really trust it. Lesson learned: get an extended warranty!

I later discovered that the tech who never showed left me 2 more voicemails. They only took a few hours to come thru. My crappy Verizon service gave me a migraine and near meltdown, but saved me at least $100 for a service call I didn’t actually need. Is this a win??

So I found a 3rd repair place. They need the model number and what is wrong. I’m describing how the machine clicked and won’t turn on so we just unplugged it. Go to confirm the noise while on the phone with said repair place. Lo and behold it turns on. Miracles! And it seems to work now!

So, basically I lost my appointment bc my phone didn’t ring. They can’t come again until NEXT WEDNESDAY. I’m imagining the mounds of laundry that must be manually schlepped by me to a laundromat. So I tried another repair place. They can’t come until next Thursday. Even worse!

“Hey, your phone goes straight to vm, contact the office to reschedule”. I called the tech back, no reply. No reply from the office either. I left voicemails. No idea what’s going on. Then the appliance repair scheduler calls me back. The tech went to the South Hills, may not make it today.
