with glitter absolutely gel liner and a brush is your way to go, it’s the most pigmented and obviously easier to clean a brush than it is an eyeliner pen

it’s definitely down to the shimmers and glitters just because they’re not finely pressed the way matte ones are, there’s a raised texture that will cling to whatever you run across it unlike the matte ones which are pressed in a super compact way!

oooooh okay that might be another reason just because glitter shadows are textured they’re gonna end up getting on your liners unfortunately. i thought you meant non textured shadows. i will say tho, just as a wee tip, the terrible shadow applicator u get in cheap makeup is amazing for glitter!

it just means ur not gonna drag the shadow all over the lid and accidentally dilute ur shadows + you’ll keep it concentrated in the areas you need it, it’ll blend nicely and it’ll properly stick to the eye base. concealer just makes ur shadows wet and doesn’t cling to shadow as well as primer!

i’d recommend using specifically eye primer over concealer on the eye for shadows and lightly building product as opposed to packing on (if that’s what ur doing) but it just sounds like the shadow isn’t sticking properly to the base. i recommend adding the shadow on the wet base and tap blending (1)
