unfortunately the story is a much less cool "i was cutting a piece of cardboard with my utility knife at work and my hand slipped and i jammed the knife into my other hand" both times
the one in the middle is because i dropped an angle grinder while it was on and it shredded my skin on the way down

I genuinely do believe his wants and dreams here are kinda weirdly, in a lame way, wholesome, like a kid looking up to a parent or something. And then the dad is like "Fuck unions" and the kid is like "wowie my dad is the best :>"
i think the level of success he has achieved is usually accompanied by psychic damage that few humans can resist, so i kind of want to give him the benefit of the doubt. as he is now he sucks regardless though

This is by no means his best, but it's so purely Larson, and such rock-solid cartooning, that I think about it fairly often. You don't even need the caption (although the laconic "trouble brewing" really heightens the joke)
