A couple of weeks ago in the land of Dylan Thomas.

I don’t have many pictures of my parents together but here they are as they began their adult life. They had to make their own choices just like any adult & from what I know, I can relate & respect them for who they became. All children need to explore & find their respect for their own parents.

Palestine 36 is an absolute MUST watch in order to get a deeper understanding of the failure of colonialism and the UK support towards Zionism. @film.curzon.com @curzon.com

It’s how Dylan Thomas was inspired.

What an oxymoron. Offers migration to those that oppose migration 🥺 Let’s not stop the boats on this one.

Wonderful interview by Brad Fulchuk… Famous Last Words: Jane Goodall. Very moving to hear Jane’s words and in particular the reference to aggression in humans and our link to the Apes. We are a hopeless case.

A simple hello, cup of tea and ask about a life’s history. Thats all i’d want.

As part of Aged UK’s national Silver Sunday, @missespp.bsky.social and I attended an excellent talk by Frances Wilson on Memoir Writing at the British Library. Something we are both in the thick of and we both found the session enlightening.

I left in 1996 disillusioned with the UK, & wanting to seek opportunity elsewhere. After 21 years in Singapore, I returned in 2018 & this is the first time in 7 years of being back, that a 3 minutes speech from @zackpolanski.bsky.social has moved me to a point of real hope for the UK & the world.

A 19 year old self. Musician, songwriter and on the cusp of becoming a man feeling the youthful exuberance of the 70s as it came to an end. No concept of time, no worries of the future, just simply being. I was going to conquer the world but had no idea how. Magical.

A glorious picture of Raffles Place in Singapore in 1946. None of this remains.

The Cathay Building in Singapore, 1946. My Dad was sent there after the war and took this pic of what was the HQ for the Japanese during occupation in 1942. Sadly only the art deco facade remains.

Any level of support for this man is fuelling the fire of hate in this world. Someone like this cannot be a leader of any nation.

The pomposity of the United Kingdom had clearly identified Palestine but had simply allowed Zionism to flourish. A two state solution is lip service to admitting a major reason to why UK governments have continuously failed. IT WAS A PALESTINE STATE IN THE FIRST PLACE!
