It was a hex editor. Really hard to find the maps. I think I drew them out based on the hex set and once I recognized a specific floor of a map I could figure out what to change.

I played this on a Kaypro. It was the first game that I learned to hack. Figured out how to edit the ascii maps so that I could add more $$$$.

Seriously, we got a used one in 2016, and it is still solid now. Only three drum changes since then. Impossible not to find on the wireless, everyone's phone works as well as laptops.
