Astrid Sonne - Great Doubt
Going a little bit experimental today. Just discovered Astrid's music now and it's a special treat for your ears. Wide, warm, a little bit pop leaning (if you can say that), but always great compositions. Album of the year contender.

The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots
A blast from (my) past. I rediscovered it just recently. I intentionally didn't listen to it, because the beauty and melancholy of it hit me too hard 20 years ago on a sunday morning. But it's still just wonderful art.

Another great on. Pop, Jazz, Synths, Beats, Electro with a dash of Experiments all packed in one great sounding album experience. This will go into my heavy rotation I presume.

Of course I could not resist. Yeah, pretty accurate song of the year, when you consider all the sh*t that happened this years. Funk the pain away!

"My method actor" by Nilüfer Yanya
What a wide and refreshing voice, combined with great songs. I really love the percussions which stand out from the average. Favorite track: Like I say.

What I really like about the band in general is the fact, that they are keeping a rather nice upbeat sound while other experimental musicians go the "More art, more grim!" route.
