Alternatively, the process appears agonizingly slow within the context of our tiny lifespans. Given how young the universe is (ignoring evidence for non-constant dark energy 😬), taking billions of years might even be ultra rapid to engineer this exquisite planetary phenomenon.

Then again, it could also be that crafting Earth's biosphere was an undertaking of such staggering complexity that the billions of years were the necessary timeframe.

A look into the history of PCP use makes it obvious that the horror stories surrounding it are either wildly exaggerated, direct consequences of (profoundly classist and racist) efforts of War on Drugs, or far too rare to warrant this hysterical revulsion.
