I agree with you to an extent. Hunkering down does not mean remaining silent if we disagree with our government. Is Carney like Trump? Not even close, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t disagree with a number of things he has done since being elected PM.

Not an American, and I would never pledge allegiance to a fucking flag, it’s ridiculous.
January 7, 2026 at 7:52 PM
In some ways yes, and in other ways no.
January 7, 2026 at 6:42 PM
Canadian here and I absolutely agree with you.
January 7, 2026 at 6:41 PM
Which is why those of us who are left leaning but supported Carney to ensure PP wasn’t elected are disappointed and angry. We weren’t voting for Conservatism. The Liberal’s have swung quite far to the right under Carney.
January 7, 2026 at 6:40 PM
I agree with you.
January 7, 2026 at 6:31 PM
You are literally posting articles from far right publications, get a grip.
January 7, 2026 at 6:31 PM
I notice that the only things you post are from right wing media, I suggest you expand your horizons.
January 7, 2026 at 5:51 PM
I hope you are right, but watching from up north, I fear that you are wrong.
January 7, 2026 at 5:49 PM
Right? It’s so frustrating to watch some Americans responses. They are quick to point out that they didn’t vote for this but are unwilling to do anything other than complain on social media. It’s incredibly frustrating.

I think you are underestimating how entrenched MAGA is and what the Republicans are capable of when it comes to maintaining power. MAGA will follow whoever Trump tells them to.
January 7, 2026 at 3:44 PM
WTF is wrong with these people. Did none of them see Terminator? 😉

The speed limits are fine now, the problem is that they aren’t enforced.
January 6, 2026 at 8:08 AM
So the US doesn’t believe in the International Courts, but does believe that the US judicial system has jurisdiction over other countries, and a large percentage of Americans are ok with this? Make it make sense.
January 6, 2026 at 7:53 AM
So still no?
January 6, 2026 at 7:05 AM
The issue is voter intimidation, and ICE has had no problem arbitrarily taking black and brown people into custody alleging they aren’t American citizens. Why would you not anticipate them doing so on voting day?
January 6, 2026 at 1:33 AM
They will focus on Democratic states and locations where the Democrats have a chance of winning. If you don’t believe it, you aren’t paying attention.
January 5, 2026 at 11:37 PM
Exactly, the majority of Americans couldn’t care less. They will complain but do nothing about it. Capitalism has made them incredibly selfish, until something happens to them directly they will just completely ignore it. Especially if they are benefiting somehow. Not all Americans of course.
January 5, 2026 at 11:34 PM
So no?
January 5, 2026 at 11:29 PM
Great. Now do footage of what’s happening in Venezuela.
January 4, 2026 at 2:15 AM
💯
January 4, 2026 at 2:11 AM
News flash, the US does not get to determine who they want to be leader of another country. That is up to the voters, and news flash, the majority of people in Venezuela are poor and unlike what happens in the US, they do not elect right wing Capitalists to represent them.
