A great number of Americans will believe it without questioning. They might see through the fiction if the media would start hammering on the implausibility of it. But it makes DJT look like a go-getter and that's all both countries want and need.

You nailed it! While there are some great reporters/journalists out there (Christiane Amanpour certainly qualifies), there are also a lot of worthless hacks. One wonders why they ever entered the profession in the first place.

Why else would they open such an obviously partisan investigation if the aim wasn't to muck things up? They must think we're stupid.

Very true. But notice that he's been adding a few new qualifications like only pertinent files being released (and who is to decide what those are?) and listing only people aligned with the Democratic Party.

Either that or he's been assured by Bondi that his name (and likely many Republicans as well) has been scrubbed from the files.

I really think it's the title of the job that keeps them accepting the degrading treatment. It's a pretty exclusive club when you think of it.

As a Canadian I am shocked how little people seem to care about the destruction of a portion of the White House - no matter political affiliation, USians are overtly patriotic and the fact there isn’t country-wide outrage about this amazes me

You and me both. There was never any indication any of it was going to happen. He obviously considers the White House his personal property. And don't get me started on what's being done to the interior! Horrific.

Since last September a house in my sister's neighborhood had eight large Trump/Vance signs, including those affixed to all four fences enclosing the yard. They all came down two weeks ago.

Fucking things up is what he's done his entire life. The culpability is shared by those around him who have enabled the behavior. Sadly, money makes a lot of people blind.
