Some more, but I feel like I read about it in a local news “remember when?” type of column—still looking.
Here’s a bit about it. I’m trying to find the 1970s account to share. What I remember is that, for about a week, there were sightings of the dog, it was black and huge, and it was said to be responsible for a rash of local livestock killings. I remember reading, too, that school was closed.
