A mover and a shaker. Especially when it’s rainy.
Maybe - but it didn’t help mine. Made me very sick very fast.

That is your prerogative. By the way - lots of them agree with my dietary approach for my health.

It is hard to imagine something worse than how ill I was before I implemented these changes. It did not feel like a choice. Your comment is unresearched and uninformed. You have no authority to make claims about my illness.

I wish it wasn’t my experience. The numbers with chronic illness are increasing (it’s a polluted world). Many of us with multiple food sensitivities. Plants protect themselves with oxalates, salicylates, lectins etc. i can’t eat most of them. I wish I could. I’m increasingly not uncommon.

It never claimed to be scientific. It is my experience. I’ve met lots of short term vegans, but more longer term vegetarians who have managed to make it work (they need eggs). And ex vegans who needed to add in fish too. However a lot who haven’t made it work, with chronic illness. I am one of them.

Yes factory farming is horrendous. I fully agree.

Grateful not to be in the US.

Unfortunately a plant based diet isn’t a viable option for many of us. Many of us with chronic illnesses are forced to eat less and less plants. It’s a growing problem, especially post covid.

This is my lived experience. Multiple food intolerances. I very much wish I had a different reality.

Lab grown meat is not proved to be a viable option yet. It has not yet proven itself. And given what it is grown from, I worry many people with issues like mine will react to it as much as any vegetable. I hooe it can prove itself in time.

And whether that was a factor in developing illness, needing to cut out increasing numbers of groups of veg (eg oxalates, nightshades, lectins) due to becoming sensitive to them is a growing problem amongst the chronically ill.

Unfortunately due to increasing numbers of the chronically ill, there are increasing numbers of those who have to eat meat. Large numbers of us who used to be vegetarian and /or vegan. There’s a health cost to being veggie or vegan for many of us. Unfortunately.

We need to start addressing the chemical, nutritional and health care based damage we are doing to ourselves if we want these kinds of environmental solutions to work.
April 2, 2025 at 1:36 PM
A LOT of us have experienced these issues. And whilst a small number of us do better with vegetarian solutions, far more of us have found the reverse, and been forced to give up that life style. And there are more and more of us.

I’m not convinced of it’s practical application. Spend some time hanging out amongst the large numbers of the chronically ill (which I know you have a little, thanks to your brilliant support for ME patients)…
