I would hope the mouse’s nails would be painted. Gotta be stylish to stand up for science. 💅🏻

I’ve been thinking about only going to farmers markets since federal health is on a communication freeze to talk about outbreaks. Do you think that may be a better idea than store? Chicken ranch would hopefully have safe standards.

I opened the app and it played ONE full tiktok. No comments or anything else loading.

Thank you for trying to give us some tools to navigate the new environment. I never liked blocking people because I optimistically hope I can find common ground in discourse or listening. On TT I did “not interested” when it got bad & it seemed to solve the bad interactions. I need to adapt here.

But now we can’t do the awkward slideshow with the new intern representative. 😢

I’m going to miss the excerpts of On Tyranny sprinkling my FYP.

Thank you for speaking on this with sincerity. It’s not just a video app. It’s the precedent and patterns associated with the ban that are troubling. Plus the loss of community.

If he were a fish, we would say he’s shimmering in the sun, such a rare one. 🥹

I literally screen recorded on the last day going through some comments and functions. I was appalled to learn that meta doesn’t have proper pause or speed change options. Not using them now obviously but still, they thought it could be an alternatively 🙄😂

I think I had less than a dozen videos and none went viral. But my comments…they went far. Some got beyond 30k likes. It was comforting contributing like that and knowing there were genuinely caring people who valued the same interests as me.

This! I understand nuance in politics and that it takes time. I also understand why SOME democrats voted for it. Some democrats tried to play the tune that “it wouldn’t really happen” which was flimsy at best. Their actions compounded the feeling of being dismissed regarding many issues.

Hopefully that’s only a subsection of the users. It’s disheartening to discover that swaths of people hold contempt for a bias they don’t care to examine. But there are still others, like the account at the top of this thread, who are open.

Some people were reporting in Australia and Sweden that they were getting the banned pop up, even though they weren’t US users. Apparently deleting and redownloading fixed their issue but that makes me wonder what else will be infected by our changes. 😢

Thank you for the welcome. I’ve unfortunately encountered a few users a bit more hostile to #tiktokrefugees. Reading the replies remind me of the unique humor, sincere discourse, and raw emotion that glittered the app. 🥲

Good luck with the CA Dems campaign. Going to miss your tiktoks.

I learned something new. Thank you for sharing!

It MAY be an ADA thing if the sidewalk is too narrow and can only accommodate 1 bike without encroaching into the 3’-4’ walking space. Ideally the sidewalk would be larger (which would impact the car area therefore unlikely unfortunately). Definitely not an ideal design.

Friends who have VPNs have told me that it's not working. I think it's geo-location based.

It's promising to see the containment number increase. The firefighting efforts have been amazing and it's comforting to see people come together during these times of crisis.

I don't know if you meant to insult the entirety of TikTok, but there was a lot of credible content on there as well. Plus a lot of community building for marginalized individuals.

Thank you for standing against the unnecessary attack on a community-building tool. Sadly my congressional representative (D) voted for it & has not expressed any remorse for the impact to individuals or businesses.
