Well that, and the fact that Mail delivery has been on declined over the last decade non stop, which is the reality of the world we live whether an exec or union agrees with it.
Which naturally ask for today's solutions not 1980 solutions.
A honest conversation needs to happen to get anywhere

Have gone to infra, hospitals, education, housing and many more accute society issues

I hear you. The point is that there are no magical solutions.
In order to provide a service it needs to be feasible.
Burning 10 millions a day is not sustainable, nor it allows to keep that service long term.
Every time the government flushes a billion dollars to it, that is money that could

It does not means normalize bad management, or accept inflexible positions that insist on not evolving and adapting to new realities.

In any big organization, countries included, a certain level of waste is expected because complex systems are inherently hard to make perfect. In short, "perfection is the enemy of good" kind of idea.
that only means we need to accept trade offs and be practical...

👋Of course a country is not a business.
Why is it necessary to take that extreme position?
Is it really that wild to ask and assume that public money must used effectively and efficiently for the benefit of all society?

Respectfully, that reads like you are imposing your own narrative on the topic.
There is almost never an only reason. And you are missing the forest for a single tree.
The goal should be better service and use of public money.
Good night

The best results from the public services.
Failing to evolve, ignore the books and frankly the society changes does not look like a good formula imho.
September 27, 2025 at 1:42 AM
That approach seems a bit naive but go ahead and be happy. equating getting taxed with using the money without any disregard of how effective the service is, sounds like a recipe for mediocrity. It's a privilege to serve Canadians as a public employee, and all the society should demand and enjoy..
September 27, 2025 at 1:42 AM
Should not happen, the service just disappeared, get worse and worse, and being overrun by competitors.
September 27, 2025 at 1:28 AM
Not sure what is so funny. Money does not grows on trees and getting better service for the same public money should always be a priority.
It is of course a conversation, not a binary topic.
Failing to evolve and assume that money will magically appear, will end up with exactly what you claim..
September 27, 2025 at 1:27 AM
Sure, make it break even instead of burning tax dollars in a subpar service, that could be better spent in many other society issues...
