If I remember correctly, some of the programs that were killed by DOGE were retraining programs to help shuffle people into jobs that needed labor.
Construction, Plumbing, Electrical, and Engineering jobs are all skilled labor.

How are they going to eat/pay rent while they learn these skills?

And it’s not from simply choosing the first option on each survey. This phenomenon goes back decades.
I got used to seeing the 20-ish percent & set them aside.
