Congress continues to abdicate their responsibilities as they see fit. They don't run to govern, they run to look powerful and make a bunch of money. Making decisions upsets people and loses elections. Why not pass that responsibility up to a single person and whine?

When you say everything is being done wrong and refuse to elaborate it allows everyone to paint a portrait of you championing what they believe is correct.
Reminds me of how many successful shows/movies have blank slate protagonists allow wider audiences to project themselves into the story.

Pretty sure it's because we need cuter computers. Comcuters if you will. And the fastest way to make anything cute is to make it smol. And since everyone wants to buy the cutest thing, guaranteed smolification is guaranteed sales.

It's gotta be the exploratory nature of the era along with how much smaller the internet was back then. Flash was huge so if you were producing animations and games, the 14 year olds in the school library would find you.
