where i come down on this is that his films aren’t meant to make us feel good or happy and they aren’t speaking to the better angels of our natures. but we aren’t just the better angels. the parts of us that like Tarantino will demand exercise no matter what, and let’s be real, we exercise them here

Tarantino is a dick that knows how to make cool things. He's got a feel for what makes shots or sequences work, and he's great at tapping the lizard brain.
But I've never watched something of his and walked away feeling like I was a better human in any way for having seen it.

Sure. More to Ellie's direction, but referring to Spielberg, I find I can feel out some common ground with some or most of his characters. His flaws are interesting and human.

Evidence seems circumstantial at best, we have no idea if there was another individual in the house. Merely occupying the same space is not a qualifying indictment of my client. This accusation will be proven false when we move to trial, and we will be securing damages (treats) when vindicated.
