My family is very much a same stuff every year for Thanksgiving family, but I absolutely love Thanksgiving cooking video season on the internet. Show me all your new and interesting recipes! I want to know how to add excitement to my potatoes!! (and then make the same plain mash as always...)

As someone who's been writing my whole life but has come recently to sewing, it never stops tripping me out that suddenly I can make a real physical THING. There was a pile of fabric and now it's a thing that I can wear on my own human body!

I can't think of any non-fandom experience that matches the thrill of a brief fling with a character or pairing that you have no knowledge of apart from what you've osmosed from your mutuals.

Sometimes my robot vacuum gives me a glimpse into what life must be like for people in thankless relationships. Like theoretically he's helpful, but I spend the entire time on high alert for disaster & half the time I end up picking up after him anyways.

All the social media upheaval is really making me nostalgic for some of my older internet experiences that have also fell by the wayside. Part of me really misses anonymous communities...they always ended up miserably toxic but in the good times it felt so free.
