Teachers get paid pretty well in blue states. Have a ton of time off, great benefits and strong union.

Jesus. We r in trouble
July 13, 2025 at 6:25 PM
you don’t think raising taxes on people and corporations will hurt us competitively? We have highest effective tax rate in country already. Do you think closing our best schools or no longer making them competitive will help city? I just think it will be a disaster.
June 25, 2025 at 7:59 PM
Sure. In theory. And then SF elects a progressive DA and Mayor and immediately realizes that was a disaster and course corrects.

Isaac - is it possible someone that lives in the city can have the opinion that Mamdani would be a terrible mayor, decimate our tax base and make housing more expensive? Hate the idea that anyone who disagrees isn’t a real New Yorker
June 25, 2025 at 11:39 AM
Hard agree
June 19, 2025 at 1:58 AM
The issue isn’t taxing the wealthy more which i agree wholeheartedly. The issue is only taxing the wealthy in two places and then losing that tax base to low tax areas
June 15, 2025 at 11:39 PM
I think u misunderstand me. We r losing wealthy people and businesses. Further taxing both will lead to more leaving. When you have less people to tax u have less money to pay for the programs. NYC wealthy residents have the highest effective tax rate in US so at some point u will end up negative
June 15, 2025 at 3:14 AM
For sure Cuomo is bad but not Mamdani would likely be worse. His plans are actually bad for housing and raising taxes on individuals and corps will worsen exodus of wealthy from NYC. At some point need people to tax. Not one time have i heard anyone speaking about bringing business or jobs to nyc
June 15, 2025 at 1:34 AM
Will be a disaster. Cuomo sucks but New York will be of Mamdani wins
June 12, 2025 at 12:37 AM
Yes let’s get rid of every billionaire in nyc and then it can be all poor people with no one left to tax
June 6, 2025 at 5:41 PM
Another knife in Joes back. Democrats (i am one) are the worst.

How about Karine worry more that there may not be political parties after Trump. Unreal
June 4, 2025 at 9:33 PM
Yes just like that if Magic Johnson was terrible 🤣
May 20, 2025 at 5:14 PM
Yes. Why would anyone think a 7”1 guy was a nba player
May 5, 2025 at 10:13 PM
A rising star based on what? How is he paying for his plans? How is he going to keep business or attract new business to pay for these plans. Look at how much better SF has been with centrist Mayor.
April 24, 2025 at 3:31 PM
Yes but sick of politics. Westchester being used as a negative when without Westchester, LI, NJ, CT commuters city would shut down. His plan are unrealistic, exacerbate housing crisis and will drive business away. Cuomo is bad as well. Blah
April 24, 2025 at 2:47 PM
Rent freeze will exacerbate the housing crisis. Every area that has built more has seen rent come down. Ur disincentivizing building.
April 24, 2025 at 2:45 PM
Over half is Westchester works in the city. Using it as a slur makes no sense.
April 24, 2025 at 11:46 AM
I always watch because of him 🤣
April 13, 2025 at 6:51 PM
I mean they got dominated and really only won because of an insane sequence of events. I don’t even like Duke but man Duke way blew it

Main character syndrome
April 5, 2025 at 2:05 PM
All of them are pretty inefficient and Walters advanced stats are pretty poor
April 4, 2025 at 3:40 PM
Playing devils advocate. Seems like on bad teams guys put up stats and you get excited about said guy. But in reality they can only do that on bad team. Saw it a lot with tanking Sixers.
April 4, 2025 at 3:39 PM
Stop with this stupid response. It’s been 8 years of this sswke bullshit tweet.

Concentrate on the story at hand and how insane and incompetent it is. It just puts them on same level and isn’t helpful. So sick of this joke. Also unoriginal.
