I had my fun with Diablo 4 and it was a good game to put music on with and start slamming but POE2 is so much more interesting moment to moment.

The tree isn't so bad when you visualize it as a pie made of STR/DEX/INT skill areas. Unless you're doing something a bit wild you're usually just working towards key areas near where you start and then making decisions on which areas outside your zone are worth traveling to. The searchbar helps.

Depends on what you found boring about it. POE is gonna be many times more complex and involved than D3 so if you're not prepared to noodle around in some skill trees maybe wait until the free to play release comes.

Definitely gonna play through Merc first for the novelty of it but Witch/minions is gonna be the first I take into endgame
