Honestly, it would still have been a reasonable boundary even if it *had* been “don’t tell me how to art.” Sometimes you just have to do stuff, and feedback is unhelpful for reasons totally unrelated to technique. :) You’re doing the thing and that’s great in itself.

At least they weren’t hostile. It’s a start. I know it’s not as good as obvious interest and acceptance, and I hope I don’t come across as telling you to accept crumbs when you need a proper slice of cake (I’m trying to be reassuring). I just hope that it’s a potential sign of good things in future.
