I totally agree with what you said. I think it's odd and sad and I wonder how it's gonna work as the kids get older. But I keep my comments to myself. Her kids and I respect her protecting them.

While I respect my sister and her parenting style, she doesn't give her kids their candy haul. She changes it out and gives them candy but her and her husband are anxious about dangerous people ruining the candy.

I dunno what they do with the real candy hauls.

Anyone that's ever been so obsessed with a book that they read while in the restroom knows how to stop in the middle of a chapter and NO ONE not even the author will tell them when to stop reading.
