Just some guy, I think.

Snark, tech, cooking, greyhounds, TTRPGs. Usually some politics too. I’m a privacy engineer at a big tech firm but I’m not here for work so these hot takes are nothing to do with my employer and are all my own. He/him.
Hmmm, my technique is close to this but I do press down (but gently.) IIRC I'm following Hoffman blindly. Maybe I should try your way...

mmmm, but

every single telemetry or user data logging conversation has to be considering child data laws at every turn

that's hard to overlook

and that bubbles upward when mgmt say "how many users do X" and someone has to say "we don't know and we can't find out"

Most people come to lawyerin' through law school, but the unlucky few spend enough time in meetings with lawyers to absorb slices of it by osmosis

weelll, I mean, erm... depending on how you draw the definitional lines... we may need to consider JFK, Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley, nearly Regan...

Probably the one with the largest concentration of population into cities, as that’s really strongly correlated with it.

we should be so lucky as to have “powerful unions with corrupt leaders” as a problem
November 15, 2025 at 2:11 PM
I’d definitely take that!

Oh wow this is amazing, now I kinda want to do this too

(But in a side Vault, not my main one!)
