Dozens of union members and community allies delivered powerful testimony about skyrocketing costs, rising District revenues, and the urgent need for fair wages. As AFSCME 829 President Joseph Puckett said "in this fight we are not three unions, we are one big union."

When the Board and Chancellor tried to shut down public comment on negotiations, the workers refused to back down and won the right to be heard.
