I also shouldn't have made a whipped cream filling. What with hard icing and soft filling, the cake collapsed like a too-tall hamburger when I cut it.
Still, it tasted good and 3/4 of it got eaten, so I think it did the job. I've got a few more years to practice before daughter learns to judge!

OH NO.
(Bjorn Lomborg came to visit us as environmental science undergrads in the UK in 2005. Undergrads were able to point out that he was ignoring positive feedback systems and cherry picking data. Unfortunately a professor was very rude to him which didn't put the rest of us in a good light.)
