The Texas State Board of Education took another step today towards approving biblical teaching in elementary schools. This is in direct violation of the establishment clause of the constitution which “prohibits the government from establishing a religion or favoring one religion over another.”

For all these folks saying Trump won in a landslide. Not true, it’s actually one of the closest races historically. Trump won by just under 50% of the popular vote - compare that to Ronald Reagan who won 58.8% in 1984 and Barack Obama who won 52.9% in 2008.

In order to be tax exempt “the [church] may not intervene in any political
campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate
for public office.” Churches are regularly endorsing candidates now. Are churches that broke this rules losing their tax exempt status?

36% of eligible voters didn’t vote. Based on the current tally that means of those eligible to vote 31.2% voted for Donald and 30.1% voted for Harris.

It seems like we’re about to see Republican senators and house members cave to Trump’s demands. Checks and balances are an essential part of our democracy. Are our Republican senators and representatives really so weak?

Conservatives fear transgender women assaulting women in restrooms based on no evidence while simultaneously electing a president convicted of following a woman into a dressing room and sexually assaulting her.
