Low interest rates after 2008 failed to achieve any real growth or increase in living standards in the UK.

If we stopped obsessing over rates, we might see how the resources are distributed – and how it's this that's holding our economy back, not monetary policy.

When I started reading this I thought this is must be the rantings of some right wing lunatic. I was right, but he also happens to be the President of the USA, scary stuff.
Think about the sick and twisted mind that communicates something like *this* on Memorial Day.

Racism is rife in the UK especially regarding Muslims. Some people seem convinced Muslims only come here to make us all Muslims and impose Sharia law. Any thoughts.
Anyone else notice the stunningly twisted use of language in the media's telling of today's terrible incident in Liverpool? That the man's car 'collided with pedestrians'. Looks to me like he ploughed through the crowd intentionally. If he was Muslim, the whole Islamic world would be to blame now

Labour is claiming that taking children and pensioners out of deep poverty will create economic collapse in the UK. That is total and utter drivel of the highest order. www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2025/05...

The problems in our society are not caused by migrants or refugees.

They are caused by an economic system rigged in favour of corporations and billionaires.

If the government wanted to improve people’s lives, it would tax the rich and build an economy that works for us all.

Fist Brexit now this, let's not just shoot ourselves in one foot let's do the other one as well.
For the first time, the Labour government seems to be disputing the economic benefit of immigration, once routinely espoused by the centre-left in particular

Sorry we've got no care staff to look after your elderly parent but we've got to appease the Reform voting racists.
"A crushing blow" is how Care England has described government plans to scrap the social care visa scheme, which allows carers from abroad to work in the UK.

It is a move which care providers say makes the crisis in social care even worse

Restricting staffing during shortage has the care sector worried
Like in the NHS, there is a chronic shortage of carers, with an estimated 70,000 domestic care workers leaving the sector over the last two years.

He is a deranged, dangerous and genocidal war criminal.
There's no subtlety here.

Israel's Defence Minister has declared that Gaza's civilian population will suffer collective punishment.

He's declared those civilians will suffer "destruction and total devastation" unless Hamas releases the hostages and is overthrown.

Genocidal.
