The handful of early votes he’s gotten are so unexpected.

B-R doesn’t list the full Veterans Committee ballots before 2003.

Allie Reynolds was on 15 BBWAA ballots (including two runoffs) and has since been considered at least NINETEEN times by the VC. The fascination with him alludes me.

Can’t go wrong with the HOF plaque postcard set. Was gifted mine when I was 9 and still order the new cards for each induction class.

Thoughts on them using a clearly 1970s image of Allen but the Phillies cap logo is from the 1960s?

Crazy how high Dick Allen is here and how long it took him to get to Cooperstown

Ahh makes total sense. What a huge hit his overall WAR takes from his hitting

Why is Mathews on this list? Lower career WAR than multiple other pitchers not included (Mullane, Cone, Bond, Buffinton, Pettitte, etc.)

Point 1) Would have loved to see Tiant in the Hall before he passed, and still would probably give him one of my three votes here along with Allen and Harris. Point 2) This is the second profile where it mentions Kaat won a Cy Young, but he only received votes one year and finished 4th in voting.
