The history of tipping in the US is that it became a way to get around paying black staff the same wage as white staff. It made it possible for the underlying racism of patrons to be reflected in tips. That is not the case in Australia.

How could Dan Andrews have allowed this to happen?

No. I'm agreeing that the on-street meters lack the functionality provided by the machines used by most off-street parking operators. If we are comparing cheaper options, the cheapest option is to park in an unmetered location.

As I said, off-street parking providers are able to provide pay-as-you-go charges for only what you use, needing only the use of a credit card at their terminals. No app needed. The lack of functionality in on-street parking is a choice made by the companies that bid for these monopolies.

Is anyone else wondering what happens when we reach "see instructions on package" temperatures?

All you dorks in the press pack that are allowed near the man, ask the Prime Minister if reporting truthfully on the Gaza genocide will be illegal under Jillian Segal's recommendations.

That has nothing to do with it being an app. I has to do with post-payment, which is easily possible with credit cards.

What if we called it a weekly memorial service?

The apps are not cheaper.

I hate different apps for different LGAs. I hate prepaid accounts I don't regularly use. I hate "service fees" from companies that think street parking should be a subscription service.

Off-street parking can use a credit card for entry and exit, why can't the meters?

It isn't about loving coins.

Has anyone tried simply wiping it off? It was probably done with a Sharpie.

Why do the family members need to attend the junkets that the politicians keep telling us are purely a work thing that the would rather not attend?

They're going to morally win. They're going to morally win so much, they're going to be so sick and tired of morally winning, you're going to come to Baz and go, 'Please, please, we can't morally win anymore.'

I can only assume someone showed him Crocodile Dundee II. It would explain his fear of a rise in knife crime.

The savings are made by the company and the costs are borne by the consumer. Welcome to capitalism in the age of enshitification.

This is why they shouldn't have insisted on their legal team using ChatGPT to build their case.
