A duck stands atop a rock, resting and preening her feathers. I love how you can really make out the chevron-pattern to some of her newer fathers at they grow in. A double-breasted cormorant spreads its wings atop a rock in the middle of a river, catching as much sunlight as it can. The picture is a little washed out at the sun reflects off the rock back onto the bird. Wide-angle shot of the River below an old mill Dam. The numerous pools and isolated Rocky outcroppings make excellent feeding and nesting grounds for all sorts of birds!
