MY WORM ON A STRING SON LIVES his wiggles are particularly bad around the eyes (I'm not making eye contact with the hair n horns I did those sloppily on purpose) but u know what. it's better than I remember.

I'm too tired for my evening studies so back to learning tomorrow!!!

the morning was a lesson in 'check physics before everything gets too wobbly' and 'did you know this program has a flip tool?'

could have used that while doing head angles bc now everything feels like it's swimming and I lowkey '''ruined''' my model.

managed a tiny bit more work on the mouth, stache and chin! 🥸 it's so cool seeing the difference with each new gif

I do need to redo the entire eyes though, the more the face moves the wonkier they get, but I don't know how to redo an entire part from the beginning so.. problem for future me.

i'm on day 6 now and tldr: my guy can move his eyes, bounce his head, blink, get scared, smile, and have two (!) separate brows. no mouth movement yet, next up is turning the head and I'm really scared

as I said, the eyes are /okay/, but they could squish and bounce so much better, have cooler iris physics and even a boost of glow! but I figured out how to make them widen a bit when blinking (spending 2h troubleshooting why the other eye refused to cooperate) and that's enough for my first model

that took a good chunk of my first 2 days. the eyes are workable now, but having already gone through the process of rigging them, I'm dreading how bad it'll be when I get to the mouth lmao. I also had a ton of issues with the deformer/part/project menus before it sunk in what their difference was
