2/ If you notify foreign students can either leave of their own accord or at least in theory challenge the revocations. Non-notification allows plain clothes arrests on the streets. Clearly the only rationale for the non-notification is to spread the penumbra of terror far and wide.

Local organizing is happening even if people nationally don’t see it. In the last month there’s been a spate of “empty seat town halls” in Republican districts (especially in the Midwest) that serve as a tool to bring people together to plan more actions. bsky.app/profile/mimi...

I live in a rural red district in WA state&we have protest each Sat for 1 hour in our little town. We have had over 200 people showing up. Those 1 hour gatherings include organizing, making connections...In other towns in district, people are gathering.The organizing is taking place beyond protests.
