she/they. A prickly little horse, and burnt out physics grad student.
Theoretical physics is beautiful, but the human spirit is divine. No innovation without labourers, no beauty without witness. Defy STEM chauvinism. Life needs art.
This skirt is barbed.
I'd say smoke gun to make the metaphor sound less stupid, but I'm trying not to smoke lol

Anyway, that's what my bio is all about. Say no to STEM chauvinism. Life needs art, and I've been sacrificing my artistic side in service to this dream. But my dream involves serving humanity with innovation, and I can't be doing that while stepping on people. So I guess it's time for something new.

There are good people in physics, don't get me wrong. But the way our careers are set up to make us fall in line, and our culture of superiority over the humanities and the arts, leaves me soul searching. I'll always love physics the art, but I find it hard to keep loving physics the institution.

The songs off Artemis have been serving as good practice material to learn sound design and how to use a DAW. This and Through the Telescope are my medium-term practice goals. Whatever she's up to these days, I hope she's well.

Perhaps her most eloborate piece of work, and it absolutely pays off. Otherworldly.

Love the transition from the lush intro to the jittery beats. The sax through it all is just hypnotic.

Damn, just checked out the previous compilation, looked like a fun event. Any chance you'll release the submission yourself?
