I had grand plans of designing a pattern for the first time and crocheting an International Rescue inspired blanket to celebrate Thunderbirds 60th anniversary but sadly due to an unexpected house move I never got past a rough TB1 test. The idea could work and hopefully one day it will happen.

Watching the Space1999 at 50 documentary on ITVX while cleaning Tracy Island ahead of entering it in village harvest show as a vintage/ retro item. Can’t believe the sound still works - the batteries are at least 20/25 years old if not the originals! #Thunderbirds

Ok, so there’s a lot of errors and notes for the next pattern draft… but so far I’m quite happy with how this is going considering I’ve not drafted a crochet pattern before and I have limited tapestry crochet experience

The little flowers are pretty but I’m glad to have finished them because they are fiddly! The number of times I had to untie my yarn…

Ooh another tick on my #40for40 list with an excellent performance of The Nutcracker by Scottish Ballet at Newcastle Theatre Royal. Wanted to see The Nutcracker for a few years. Unexpectedly emotional thinking of my grandparents at the start. Really want Drosselmeiers cloak - merch op!

Bought most yarn 6 days ago (and a ball in March 😂) - made this lovely, extra-long, wide scarf (Sirdar design 10811). Had enough yarn left over to make a bonus hat using Sirdar Jewelspun with wool chunky (Topaz).
Lovely colours; soft and warm - perfect for the current chilly weather.

Just in time for the colder weather I’ve crocheted a blanket in Yarnsmiths Super Chunky Create following the Bernat Hibernate blanket pattern but using brighter colours that remind me of a balaclava my mum knitted for me when I was little. #Crochet
