Happy birthday. Many years ago picked up our then 3 week old, said 'Are you going to wish Daddy Happy Birthday' at which point she was sick all over me, and the dog, who was so traumatised that for months afterwards he ran out of the room if she burped.

Once overheard a conversation at the returns counter in Asda. Wife had gone away and bought hubby three ready meals, all with short dates. He'd eaten one out of order and expected them to replace the one that was now out of date

If they had any sympathy for the victims they would have insisted that the proper legal processes take place, and, if he was exonerated he could then come back and carry on as normal. Instead they've tried to shield him until it affects the rest of them, then dumped him to protect themselves.

I agree they are incompetent, but they won't be writing the code and implementing the system, so I think that's a moot point. Most of what's required (code, infrastructure) already exists in other systems, so it could be done quite quickly, and competence isn't an issue, just political will.
