At our table we got rid of spell slots and replaced it with exhaustion levels, if someone is spamming a high level spell after a few times they take a level of exhaustion, if they keep doing it they get another one! We like it a lot more. Plus we can have bigger fights earlier in game this way

I got my first set of dice before I started playing. Now I’ve been playing for almost 6 years. Married into the DnD group. And all of my free time consists of making dice and drawing people’s D&D OCs. 10/10 recommend
