Prior to that she, before surgery or hormone treatment, can still experience physical and emotional symptoms similar to PMS, I assume because of the gender dysphoria.

That’s where our differences are coming from. I don’t see it as a yes or no question because science is able to expand it beyond yes or no. Once it’s changed, then yes. By your own definition a trans woman is still a man. While some do not bleed, they experience PMS symptoms.
