Equal parts puns, pediatrics, pop culture. I debunk vaccine myths like Spock & McCoy combined. Yes, I’ve read the inserts. Opinions mine, not employer’s.
“They're not sending their best people. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems to us. They're bringing electrocuting hand buzzers. They're bringing umbrella guns. They're bringing freeze rays. And some, I assume, are good people.”

Yes - I don’t think the “reduction of disease and complications” is well-appreciated by some people. Like sure my aunt survived polio but she had health issues and required physical therapy and a cane during much of her adult life (and was on disability, etc)

Mortality from all causes went down significantly in the first half of the 1900s. Hygiene, nutrition, & general medical advancements contributed far more to this than vaccines. No one disputes that. But vaccines still decreased deaths even further & greatly reduced all kinds of disease complications

85% of parents choose to separate the MMR and chickenpox (varicella) vaccines, while 15% choose the combination. The #ACIP will vote on whether to take that choice away from the 15% who want the combination shot.
