Seriously. When I was on my ortho elective, I followed the doc into a room where a pt with a possible septic ankle had linezolid running. Instead of finding the nurse to shut it off he tied a knot in the line

Nearly every medical professional is juggling multiple devices, most are calling you back on a cell phone that’s not on the hospital network, and some are covering multiple hospitals. There’s zero expectation they know who you are or how to reach you when you just ID as “Jeff 1234.”
