You have more options when solving puzzles. Honestly, the developers did their job. I recommend playing both games are good.

Kathy Rain 2: It starts almost straight into the action. A few years have passed since the events of the previous game. The gameplay is improved and refined, and the graphics have also improved, especially the backgrounds.

The game's soundtrack is excellent; some of the tracks reminded me a bit of the early Silent Hill games. However, I think the story doesn't quite wrap up well at the end.

I thought it was the end and I used up all my ammunition. I spent the last hour of the game literally without ammo, but at the very last moment the game lets you resupply to face the real boss. Highly recommended.
